Global Data Governance Platform

Creating a centralized data-governance environment across 70 countries and more than 4,000 IT systems.

A multinational chemical corporation was trying to govern data across thousands of localized systems, inconsistent regional data models and spreadsheet-based processes. NoèmeX designed and implemented a centralized governance platform covering model creation, certification, access control, workflow, integration and automation, while preserving a governance model that allowed global standards and local participation to coexist.

The challenge

What the organization needed to change

The public page keeps the core business problem visible so prospective clients and search engines can understand the engagement without requiring a form submission.

01

Governance at global scale

More than 4,000 IT systems used different structures and standards, making consistent governance difficult.

02

Inconsistent regional data models

Definitions, mappings and data dictionaries were stored locally in different formats and repositories.

03

Manual approval bottlenecks

Model reviews could require proof-reading dozens or hundreds of spreadsheet tabs and depended on stakeholder meeting availability.

04

Security and process fragmentation

Access controls, undocumented business processes and manual data engineering created redundancy, risk and longer development cycles.

What we did

A structured path from fragmented operations to a governed solution

This summary explains the major workstreams. The downloadable case study can carry the deeper implementation narrative, diagrams, frameworks and technical detail.

01

Centralized model lifecycle

Created structured workflows for data-model creation, revision, review and certification across local and global stakeholders.

02

Core-data integration

Mapped local structures to corporate master-data standards and enabled synchronized use of governed core models.

03

Unified access governance

Introduced role-based access controls within the platform to simplify fragmented security administration.

04

Automation and product governance

Automated portions of data transformation, validation and model support, while establishing transparent feature-prioritization and cost-sharing governance.
